After being gone for over 1,000 years, Orem’s first resident, Mero the Mammoth, was welcomed home this weekend at the city’s Truck-or-Treat event.
Mero took pictures with hundreds of kids and parents and had a chance to “tell” his story of being unearthed just off of south State Street in 1937. Thanks to the wonders of modern science, Mero is here to stay and you will get the chance to say hello at future city events.
