Moving a Dial, Not a Switch

You don’t have to be an electrician to know the difference between a dial and a switch.

As the State of Utah and the City of Orem are transitioning into an “Orange” or “Moderate Risk” phase of operations, it is crucial to remember that this is a gradual process, much like a dial that can be turned up or down rather than a switch that is either “on” or “off.” Though restrictions are easing in some areas of operations, the State and City will continue to monitor the situation and will adjust the dial as needed.

During this time of transition, it is crucial that we don’t immediately return to “business as usual.” We must continue to take precautions, including staying home when sick, washing our hands, wearing face masks in public, practicing social distancing guidelines, and limiting nonessential travel.

As stated in the Governor’sΒ Utah Leads Together Plan 2.0, every Utahn plays a role in Utah’s recovery. Each of us must do our part to act responsibly and follow safety guidelines to protect ourselves and those around us.
