Time to spark some joy in 2021! As you can imagine, a city that’s been around for over 100 years has accumulated A LOT of records. While some of those records are a permanent part of Orem’s history… most of them are not.
The Recorder’s Office has recently completed the Orem Retention Schedule, which allows us all to properly dispose of the records we no longer need to keep.
We encourage you to review the schedule now available on Walter and purge the records (both paper AND electronic files) that have met their retention. Please contact the Recorder’s Office with any questions; we’re happy to help you understand the schedule and clean things out!
The Retention Schedules will be a permanent fixture on Walter under the “Quick Links” tab in the main menu.
