How can you lead your child to change their own decisions?

-Sit next to them so that they feel they are on the same level as you.

-This will help them feel you are not superior. It will help them feel like you their friend.
-Check your perspective: Are you open to letting your children decide things for themselves?
-Are you willing to take a step towards them becoming more independent when you let them decide?
-Ask them what they want their end
goal to be.
-Don’t forget to listen to them! For example:
-Ask them what the advantages and disadvantages are of their decision.
-Take the time to learn and hear about their concerns and reasons.
-This will help them make and change their own decisions!
Do your children have a hard time making decisions?
Do you often feel antsy to jump in and tell them what they should do?
Don’t.
Don’t decide for your children, or force them to change their minds.
Instead listen to their concerns, desires, and reasons,
And allow them to work through their decisions so that they can change their minds on their own.
When they can work through their thoughts, they can manage to make better decisions.
When you forcefully try to change their minds, they may think you want to just prove them wrong or control them.
That is why it is important to just listen to them. Allow them a safe space to talk to you about their decisions.

Together you can make the best decision for your children and help them become more independent!
