Failure Can Lead to Growth

Did you know that failing helps your child grow? Failing is not something to be ashamed of.
Your child needs to fail in order to thrive.
Help them learn from their failures. Be someone that cheers them on.
Do not:
Blame them
Compare what could have happened
Be apathetic
Tell them to move on
These are all ways that will make your child more afraid to fail. They will withdraw from opening up about their failures and have a harder time thriving.
Sometimes they are afraid to fail because they do not want to disappoint you.
They may have tied failing and your love together. This makes them afraid to fail.
When you openly talk to them about their failures and mistakes without blaming them for their failures, it helps them feel safe. It helps them feel safe to talk about their failures and seek ways to improve.
When they feel safe to talk to you about their failures, they thrive!
