Everyday Stronger Webseries For September & Updated Version of Resilience Handbook

Want to find out how you can help children, youth, and even adults in your life become more resilient? Join our EveryDay Stronger series for September!

The EveryDay Stronger Series gives employees the opportunity to learn more about the EveryDay Strong Initiative’s resiliency framework and be part of a facilitated discussion with their peers.  Each month a different topic will be discussed.  Discussion sessions will last about an hour.  The series will be held on the third Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. on Zoom (at least for now – we may meet in person during future months).

Discussion topics will include:

Topic 1: Trusting that kids are doing their best

Topic 2: Feeling safe as a foundation for resilience

Topic 3: Connecting (Even when it’s hard!)

Topic 4: What builds confidence and what doesn’t

We would love to have about 10-12 employees participate.  Please reach out to Kena at (801) 229-7023 or kjmathews@orem.org if you would like to participate or have any questions.

United Way of Utah County recently released a new version of the EveryDay Strong Resilience Handbook with a new physical needs section. You can download a copy here. The EveryDay Strong Initiative strives to help build resilience in area children and youth through safety, connection, and confidence. More information about the important campaign can be found at everydaystrong.org.
