Did you know that you can use the “government/military” rate when traveling for leisure? The amount of savings varies (and at times the government rate is not any cheaper than the regular rate), but this can at times provide some big savings! Below is an example of a stay during spring break down in St. George. The per-night cost at a normal rate is $196 per night. If you select the government rate, the cost goes down to $95 per night.

They say that they check your government ID to verify that you are a government employee, but I have never had anyone check my ID. I would bring it in case.
