Be an Example of Healthy Relationships

Our children might have to interact with other adults that we wouldn’t like them to. Maybe we feel like these people are not the best influence on their lives. For example, we might be separated from the other parent, and we donΒ΄t feel comfortable with our kids spending time with them because of how they are like. When we canΒ΄t stop these people from spending time with our children, and we canΒ΄t get them to change how they act, it can be deeply frustrating. In these situations, the best thing to do is to try to be that good influence ourselves. By being that example of what a healthy relationship looks like, they will learn that there is something better and that they deserve to be treated like this.
