HELP! Fitness Center Tour Guides Needed

The excitement for the new Orem Family Fitness Center is real. In one 24 hour period, every last one of our 1,200 tour tickets got snatched up. We added another 600+ tickets and those are going fast as well.
What we need now is willing volunteers to serve as tour guides during the 3 days of tours: March 17-19. Here are a few points to put your heart at ease about being a tour guide.
  • You will not be thrown to the wolves. You’ll be officially trained by employees who know the new facility like the back of their hand. They will impart of their wisdom and experience so you feel comfortable leading tours.
  • Tour Resources. There will be big boards at every tour stop with information about that area of the building. If you can’t think of anything to say, just read stuff off the board. We will also have a map, note cards, and cheat sheets available for you so you can share interesting factoids about the building and answer frequently asked questions.
  • 2 Hour Shifts. You’ll serve as a tour guide in 2 hour shifts which means you’ll only have 3 or 4 groups to guide through the building.
  • Small Groups. With COVID still on the loose we thought it best to keep the tour groups small. The most people you will ever have in your group is 8. Masks will be required.
  • Let the Good Times Roll. Opening this facility is a huge reason to celebrate so let’s have fun with it. For most of us this will be a once-in-a-career opportunity and will be something we remember for a long time.
Please sign up ASAP so we can equip you with the proper training and gear.
If you have any questions about serving as an official tour guide, please reach out to Pete (pwolfley@orem.org) or Nate (nmprescott@orem.org).
