This may sound like the plot of a Scooby Doo episode but it is in fact a real issue that has been reported this week.
There was a plaque and marker commemorating the discovery of Orem’s original resident, Mero the Mammoth, right in front of the Paper Store on south State Street. A citizen called this week to report the marker missing.
Before we open up a full investigation into its disappearance, we thought it would be good to check in with all employees to see if anyone knew something about it. Maybe a project going on in that area?
Some have speculated that the missing marker is connected to the mysterious monoliths that have been appearing and disappearing recently. While we here at Walter love a conspiracy just as much as the next guy, we want to exhaust all logical avenues before we lay this at the feet of aliens, the CIA, or Bigfoot.
