EVERYDAY IS A CARNIVAL! At least in the month of June!
What a wonderful time of year, the start of a new month…June. When the weather starts to get warmer and the sun is out longer. This beautiful month, employees have the opportunity to serve, donate, volunteer and speak out for causes that matter to them locally! This month long employee giving campaign will feature weekly newsletters (as seen below) along with weekly surprise visits, Bingo, Trivia and a silent auction with some AWESOME PRIZES that you will not want to miss!
Employees that scan the QR code featured on the weekly newsletter, or those that go to this link here or utahcountygives.org/orem, and sign up to donate will be given a virtual “ticket” to enter into a prize drawing of their choice.
Silent auction prizes are as follows:
- The Legal Department will invite the winner to participate in an Officer Involved Critical Incident Training and Virtual Reality Scenario – Be A Cop VR Training. More details coming soon.
- The Recreation Department will be offering a prize pack that includes a Scera pool punch pass, a FREE personal training session at the Fitness Center and of course some awesome department swag!
- The Library is offering a family fun pack including a selection of books and a FREE movie screening in the NEW Library Hall for up to 100 of the employee’s family and friends! Movie selection limited to new releases, timeless classics and family favorites… so, not limited at all!
- The Finance Department will be offering a “We won’t call and tear you a new one for doing something wrong with your credit card” from Shirley, along with some Smith’s Marketplace gift cards!!
- The Fire Department is offering a one of a kind gift basket – which includes a gift card, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and maybe a swag item or two. All wrapped up in pretty packaging!
- The City Manager’s Office will be doing a Phantom Dumper Super Pack… a collectable.
- The Public Works Department is offering one hour of “playtime” on a sand mountain with heavy equipment!

If you can’t donate a dollar amount or want to find even more ways to get involved and serve, please stop by the Human Resource office and pick up an “At Desk Service Project”. This project features a kit that will be donated to United Way’s EveryDay Strong emotional health programs. All you need is a pair of scissors and you can make a difference!!!
