A Whole New World for I.T. Support Tickets

Let the new I.T. Support Ticket system take you on a magic carpet ride.

The intrepid souls of the I.T. Support Team have been working hard to improve their capability to help you. They’ve been testing out a new ticketing system since October and now it’s ready for the big leagues and city-wide deployment. This ticketing system is expected to replace the current “homegrown” I.T. support ticketing system. Below is a quick introduction to the new system.

3 Easy Ways to Submit a Ticket

  1. Send an Email – You can send an email toΒ support@orem.orgΒ with a title and description of the issue and a ticket will automatically be created, assigned, and tracked in the system.
  2. Login to the Support Site – VisitΒ support.orem.org and log in with your email login credentials and you will be able to create new tickets, view old tickets, look at updates, and all other kinds of good stuff.Β This will also be added to Walter under “Quick Links” for easy access.
  3. Call a Real Human Being – You can call extension 7007, or call 801-229-7007 if you are on a cell phone or away from the City offices, and speak to a real live human.Β

Why are we doing this?

  • We want to explore better ways that we can offer support services and be more transparent.
  • This ticketing system allows workgroups (Library, Human Resources, Police etc.) to see what has already been requested of I.T. We hope this will help reduce duplicated reports.
  • Allow you to see how, when, and why issues were resolved.
